Will the ACC have a national title contender? I’ll throw it right on the table – I think the winner of the Coastal
With ACC media days behind, fall camps are starting soon and the season is a mere month away. One of my favorite parts of media festivities is the release of the All-ACC team. This years squad looks stellar, with more than a few guys that will be making a living on Sundays.
With the 2009 Quarterback Rankings behind me, time to shift focus to the backfield. The Top 3 should be no surprise, but I mixed up the next few slots. There are few teams in the league that simply are not getting the respect they deserve (and fans of those teams, you can send me thank you e-mails. Although I prefer a 6-pack).
Found a few interesting articles from around the league: 5 reasons Clemson could succeed/fail plus an in-depth look at their QB Willy Korn. Q&A with a former teammate of Korn’s, the nations #1 prep RB Marcus Lattimore, and also a Q&A with Georgia Tech RB Jonathan Dwyer, plus a look at GT’s recruiting. Speaking of RB’s, Miami’s Graig Cooper is looking towards 1,000 Yards in ’09. And finally, ACC Coaches that should be sweating this season.
Title says it all: I’m throwing out my Top 3 Playmakers for ’09. Normally I wouldn’t pick 3 players from the same position, but that’s where the talent is this year in the league. There are no real marquee/standout QB’s and a slew of good receivers were lost via the draft/graduation last year.
I am defying the major publications out there with my #1
