Around the ACC – July 7th
(7.7.09) Bit of somber day today – R.I.P. Michael Jackson. Meanwhile, in the world of the ACC – FSU submits another appeal, while GT reports it’s own violations. Recruiting picks up for Virginia, but NC State and Miami are losing players. Also have some pretty good reads about FSU, UNC, Clemson, and Duke QB T.Lewis in 2009.
Florida State isn’t backing down on losing wins, submitting another appeal. Scout’s 2009 FSU previews are out: Offense and Defense.
Chalk one up for honesty – Georgia Tech self reported violations.
Here’s a good look at North Carolina’s offense, courtesy of Scout again.
Recruiting is picking up for Virginia – FAST with Al Groh adding 2 more to his ’10 class, while Coach Dabo over at Clemson is close to landing 2 big-time recruits. Things are headed in the opposite direction for NC State though, with CB D.Ellis transferring and 3 commits not enrolling. Miami also lost a man on defense when S J.Wylie decided to transfer. Coach Shannon originally announced Wylie was going to stay with the team.
And finally, some pretty good reads on Duke QB T.Lewis, and the Hurricane football team doing community service (yes, voluntarily).
